West Virginia Keno Results
Keno is a fast-paced draw game with drawings every 3 minutes, 7 days a week. Players choose how many numbers (spots) they want to play from 1 to 10, then select that many numbers from a field of 1 to 80. Twenty winning numbers are drawn each game.

How to Play
Basic Play: First, decide how many numbers (spots) you want to play - anywhere from 1 to 10 spots. Then select that exact number of spots from the field of numbers 1 through 80. Each drawing will select 20 winning numbers from the 80-number field. The more of your selected numbers that match the 20 drawn numbers, the more you win.
Number of Spots: You can play 1-Spot, 2-Spot, 3-Spot, 4-Spot, 5-Spot, 6-Spot, 7-Spot, 8-Spot, 9-Spot, or 10-Spot games. The number of spots you choose affects your prize structure and odds.
Wager Amounts: Choose your wager per draw: $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10, or $20. Higher wagers multiply your prizes. All prize tables show amounts for a $1 wager - if you wager more, your prizes are multiplied by that amount. Example: A $100 prize on a $1 ticket becomes $500 on a $5 ticket.
Number Selection Methods:
- Manual Selection: Mark your chosen numbers on a Keno playslip. The number of selections must match your chosen spot level.
- Quick Pick: Let the computer randomly select your numbers for you.
How Drawings Work: Every 3 minutes, 20 numbers are randomly drawn from 1 to 80. You win based on how many of your selected numbers match the 20 drawn numbers. Different spot levels have different prize structures.
Example Prize Scenarios (for $1 wager):
- 10-Spot Game: Match all 10 numbers for the top prize. Match 9, 8, 7, 6, or even 5 numbers for lower-tier prizes. The top prize for matching all 10 is significantly higher than other spot games.
- 5-Spot Game: Match all 5 for top prize, 4 for second tier, 3 for third tier.
- 1-Spot Game: Match your single number for a small prize (typically $2-3 for $1 wager).
Keno Bonus/Keno Go Feature: Some versions of Keno offer a bonus multiplier option for an additional cost that can multiply non-top-tier winnings. The maximum Keno Go wager per playslip is $100 ($200 if Bonus is played).
Multi-Draw/Advance Play: Play your numbers for multiple consecutive drawings. You can purchase tickets for many future drawings in advance, making it convenient to play the same numbers throughout the day or across multiple days.
Drawing Frequency: New drawings every 3 minutes from early morning until late night, 7 days a week. This means approximately 280-320+ drawings per day, depending on operating hours.
Ticket Cost Examples:
- 5-Spot game, $1 wager, 1 draw: $1
- 10-Spot game, $5 wager, 1 draw: $5
- 3-Spot game, $2 wager, 10 draws: $20
- 8-Spot game, $10 wager, 5 draws: $50
Overall Odds: Odds vary dramatically based on the number of spots played and how many matches are required for a prize. Generally, 4-Spot through 7-Spot games offer the best balance of odds and payouts. 10-Spot games have the highest top prizes but the longest odds.
Prize Structure: Each spot level (1-Spot through 10-Spot) has its own unique prize table. Prizes are fixed based on the number of matches. Higher spot games typically require matching more numbers to win, but offer larger prizes. Prize tables are displayed at retailers and on the West Virginia Lottery website.
