How to Play

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Purchase Your Ticket: Visit any authorized Rhode Island Lottery retailer (convenience stores, gas stations, or grocery stores statewide). Online purchases are available through the Rhode Island Lottery app for registered players 18 and older.

2. Number Selection: Choose five numbers from 1 to 38 using one of these methods:

   • Manual Selection: Use a selection slip and mark your five chosen numbers (one per playboard from A to E), then hand it to the cashier
   • Quick Pick: Request Quick Pick and let the computer randomly generate your five numbers
   • Each playslip contains 5 playboards (A through E), with each board costing a separate $1

3. Multi-Draw Option: Play the same numbers for up to 21 consecutive drawings on a single ticket. Mark the appropriate number of draws you wish to play under the Multi-Draw section on your playslip, or tell the cashier how many drawings you want.

4. Pay for Your Ticket: Each base game costs $1 per play (per board). If you play all 5 boards on one playslip, the cost is $5 total.

5. Check Your Ticket: Verify all numbers and drawing dates are correct before leaving the retailer. Tickets cannot be canceled once printed.

6. Wait for Drawing: The drawing occurs at 7:29 PM ET. Six balls are drawn - five main numbers plus one Extra Ball.

Overall Odds: Approximately 1 in 38 of winning any prize.

Jackpot Details:

• The jackpot is a progressive jackpot that starts at $20,000 and grows by a percentage of ticket sales until someone wins
• The jackpot is a pari-mutuel prize pool, meaning if multiple players match all five numbers, the prize is divided equally among all winning tickets
• Only one prize per play - if you win the jackpot by matching 5 of 5, you do not also win lower tier prizes

Extra Ball Feature

The Extra Ball is a crucial component of Wild Money that creates additional winning opportunities:

How the Extra Ball Works:

• After drawing the five main winning numbers (from 1-38), a sixth ball is drawn - the Extra Ball
• The Extra Ball is drawn from the same pool of numbers (1-38) and can be any number, even one already drawn
• You don't select an Extra Ball number - your five chosen numbers are automatically eligible to match it
• Matching the Extra Ball along with 1, 2, 3, or 4 of the main numbers increases your prize amount
• The Extra Ball does not apply to the jackpot (matching 5 of 5)

Extra Ball Prize Enhancement:

• Match 4 main + Extra Ball: Win $1,500 (vs. $200 for just 4 main numbers) - 7.5x multiplier
• Match 3 main + Extra Ball: Win $50 (vs. $5 for just 3 main numbers) - 10x multiplier
