How to Play

To play Missouri Pick 3, choose three numbers from 0 to 9 (digits can be the same or different). You can choose your own numbers or select Quick Pick for randomly generated numbers. Select your wager amount: $0.50 or $1.00. Choose one of the play types described below. Select which drawing(s) you want to enter: Midday, Evening, or Both.

Play Types:

1. Straight: Your three numbers must match the winning numbers in the exact order drawn. This offers the highest payout but requires an exact match. Prize: $300 for a $0.50 wager, $600 for a $1.00 wager. Odds: 1 in 1,000.

2. Box: Your three numbers must match the winning numbers in any order. Box plays come in two types:

   • 3-Way Box: When two of your numbers are the same (e.g., 112, 233). Three possible winning combinations. Prize: approximately $100 for a $0.50 wager, $200 for a $1.00 wager.
   • 6-Way Box: When all three numbers are different (e.g., 123, 789). Six possible winning combinations. Prize: approximately $50 for a $0.50 wager, $100 for a $1.00 wager.

3. Straight/Box: A combination bet that places half your wager on a Straight bet and half on a Box bet. If your numbers match in exact order, you win both Straight and Box prizes. If they match in any other order (but not exact), you win only the Box prize. This play type offers the best of both worlds.

4. Front Pair: Match the first two numbers drawn in exact order (the third number doesn't matter). Prize: $30 for a $0.50 wager, $60 for a $1.00 wager. Odds: 1 in 100.

5. Back Pair: Match the last two numbers drawn in exact order (the first number doesn't matter). Prize: $30 for a $0.50 wager, $60 for a $1.00 wager. Odds: 1 in 100.

6. Combo: Automatically places Straight bets on all possible combinations of your three numbers. For a 3-Way combo, you place three $1 Straight bets (costs $3 total). For a 6-Way combo, you place six $1 Straight bets (costs $6 total). If any combination wins, you receive the full Straight prize of $600.

Wild Ball Add-On: Wild Ball is an optional add-on feature that doubles the cost of your Pick 3 play. When you add Wild Ball, an additional "Wild Ball" number (0-9) is drawn after the regular Pick 3 drawing. The Wild Ball number can replace any one of the three winning numbers to create additional winning combinations. For example, if the winning numbers are 1-2-3 and the Wild Ball is 5, then 5-2-3, 1-5-3, and 1-2-5 are also winning combinations. This significantly increases your chances of winning. Wild Ball prizes are separate from regular Pick 3 prizes, so you can win both if you match the original numbers and also match with Wild Ball substitutions. Example Wild Ball prize: Box with Wild Ball pays approximately $68 for a $1 base play.

Multi-Draw: Purchase your numbers for up to 14 consecutive drawings at once. Specify whether you want Midday only, Evening only, or both drawings each day.

Quick Pick: Have the lottery terminal randomly select your three numbers for you.

Play Slip: Fill out a Pick 3 play slip at any Missouri Lottery retailer by marking your numbers, play type, wager amount, and drawing selection (Midday/Evening/Both).

Overall Strategy: Straight offers the highest payout but is hardest to win. Box plays offer more ways to win with lower payouts. Pair plays are easier to win with moderate payouts. Wild Ball increases your odds significantly for double the cost.
