How to Play
To play MO Millions, select six numbers from 1 to 42. You can choose your own numbers or select Quick Pick to have numbers randomly generated for you. Each play costs $2 (this is double the old Lotto's $1 price, but includes what used to be two plays). Match all six numbers to win the jackpot, which starts at $1 million and grows with each drawing until won. Match fewer numbers to win smaller fixed prizes.
EZ Match Add-On: For an additional $1 per play, add EZ Match for instant-win prizes up to $500. When you add EZ Match, the lottery terminal prints five random EZ Match numbers on your ticket, each with a prize amount ($2 to $500) next to it. If any of your six MO Millions numbers match any of the EZ Match numbers, you instantly win the corresponding prize shown - before the drawing even happens. The overall odds of winning any EZ Match prize are approximately 1 in 5. You can win multiple EZ Match prizes on a single ticket if multiple numbers match.
Double Play Add-On: For an extra $1 per play, you can add Double Play to enter your same six numbers in a second drawing held immediately after the main MO Millions drawing. Double Play offers a top prize of $50,000 (fixed, not progressive). All other Double Play prize tiers are fixed amounts separate from the main game prizes. This gives you two chances to win with the same numbers for just $1 more.
Quick Pick: The Quick Pick option allows the lottery terminal to randomly select your six numbers. This is the fastest and most popular way to play.
Multi-Draw: You can purchase tickets for multiple consecutive drawings in advance (up to 14 draws at most retailers). Your same numbers will be played in each drawing automatically.
Prize Structure: MO Millions features multiple prize tiers:
- Match 6 numbers: Jackpot (starts at $1,000,000, grows until won)
- Match 5 numbers: Fixed prize (amount varies, typically $500-$1,000 range)
- Match 4 numbers: Fixed prize (typically $50-$100 range)
- Match 3 numbers: Fixed prize (typically $5-$10 range)
Game History: MO Millions launched on October 22, 2025, replacing Missouri's longtime Lotto game which ran for 28 years from 1997 to October 18, 2025. The old Lotto used numbers 1-44 and cost $1 for two plays. MO Millions was designed to offer better odds (due to the smaller 1-42 number pool) and more appealing starting jackpots.
Odds: The overall odds of winning any prize in MO Millions are approximately 1 in 8 to 1 in 10 (specific odds depend on final prize structure). Jackpot odds are 1 in 5,245,786 (significantly better than the old Lotto's 1 in 7,059,052 odds).
Jackpot Payment: Winners can choose between a lump-sum cash payment or an annuity paid over multiple years. If multiple players win the jackpot, it is divided equally among all winners.
