How to Play

Basic Game Play: Pick 5 gives players the opportunity to win life-changing prizes up to $50,000 twice every day. Visit any Florida Lottery retailer and select one number from 0 through 9 in each of five columns for a total of five digits. Choose your wager amount (50 cents or $1), select your play type (Straight, Box, or Straight/Box), and decide which drawing(s) to enter - Midday (1:30 p.m. ET), Evening (9:45 p.m. ET), or both. You can play your favorite numbers for up to 14 consecutive drawings or use Advance Play to purchase tickets up to 6 months ahead.

Number Selection Methods:

• Quick Pick: Let the terminal randomly generate all five numbers for you
• Advance Play: Play the same numbers for multiple future drawings (up to 6 months)

Complete Play Types and Prize Structures:

1. STRAIGHT Play - Match in Exact Order Your five numbers must match the winning numbers in the exact order drawn for the top prize.

• 50¢ wager: Win $25,000 | Odds: 1 in 100,000
• $1 wager: Win $50,000 | Odds: 1 in 100,000

Example: You play 1-2-3-4-5 Straight for $1. The winning numbers must be exactly 1-2-3-4-5 to win $50,000. Any other order is not a winner.

2. BOX Play - Match in Any Order Your five numbers can match the winning numbers in any order. Prize amounts vary based on how many different ways your numbers can be arranged (5-Way through 120-Way Box).

5-Way Box (four digits the same, e.g., 1-1-1-1-2, 7-7-7-7-3):

• 50¢ wager: Win $5,000 | Odds: 1 in 20,000
• $1 wager: Win $10,000 | Odds: 1 in 20,000

10-Way Box (three digits same, one pair, e.g., 1-1-1-2-2):

• 50¢ wager: Win $2,500 | Odds: 1 in 10,000
• $1 wager: Win $5,000 | Odds: 1 in 10,000

20-Way Box (three digits same, two different, e.g., 1-1-1-2-3):

• 50¢ wager: Win $1,250 | Odds: 1 in 5,000
• $1 wager: Win $2,500 | Odds: 1 in 5,000

30-Way Box (two pairs and one different, e.g., 1-1-2-2-3):

• 50¢ wager: Win $830 | Odds: 1 in 3,333.33
• $1 wager: Win $1,660 | Odds: 1 in 3,333.33

60-Way Box (one pair and three different, e.g., 1-1-2-3-4):

• 50¢ wager: Win $415 | Odds: 1 in 1,666.67
• $1 wager: Win $830 | Odds: 1 in 1,666.67

120-Way Box (all different digits, e.g., 1-2-3-4-5):

• 50¢ wager: Win $208 | Odds: 1 in 833.33
• $1 wager: Win $416 | Odds: 1 in 833.33

Example: You play 1-2-3-4-5 as a 120-Way Box for $1. The winning numbers can be in any of 120 possible orders (1-2-3-4-5, 5-4-3-2-1, 3-1-5-2-4, etc.), and any arrangement wins $416.

3. STRAIGHT/BOX Play - Win Both Ways Combines Straight and Box plays on one ticket. This play type always costs $1 (equivalent to 50¢ Straight + 50¢ Box). You win the Straight prize if numbers match in exact order, or the Box prize if they match in any other order.

5-Way Straight/Box:

• If exact order match: Win $25,000
• If any order match: Win $5,000
• Odds: 1 in 100,000 (Straight) & 1 in 20,000 (Box)

10-Way Straight/Box:

• If exact order match: Win $25,000
• If any order match: Win $2,500
• Odds: 1 in 100,000 (Straight) & 1 in 10,000 (Box)

20-Way Straight/Box:

• If exact order match: Win $25,000
• If any order match: Win $1,250
• Odds: 1 in 100,000 (Straight) & 1 in 5,000 (Box)

30-Way Straight/Box:

• If exact order match: Win $25,000
• If any order match: Win $830
• Odds: 1 in 100,000 (Straight) & 1 in 3,333.33 (Box)

60-Way Straight/Box:

• If exact order match: Win $25,000
• If any order match: Win $415
• Odds: 1 in 100,000 (Straight) & 1 in 1,666.67 (Box)

120-Way Straight/Box:

• If exact order match: Win $25,000
• If any order match: Win $208
• Odds: 1 in 100,000 (Straight) & 1 in 833.33 (Box)

Example: You play 1-2-3-4-5 as a 120-Way Straight/Box for $1. If winning numbers are exactly 1-2-3-4-5, you win $25,000. If winning numbers are in any other order (like 5-3-1-4-2), you win $208.

FIREBALL Add-On - Maximum Winning Opportunities: Add FIREBALL for an additional cost equal to your base play amount (doubles your ticket price) to dramatically increase your chances of winning. After the five Pick 5 numbers are drawn, a FIREBALL number (0-9) is drawn separately. You can use the FIREBALL to replace any one of the five Pick 5 winning numbers, creating additional winning combinations. You can win with both the base game numbers AND the FIREBALL combinations on the same ticket, potentially hitting two prizes on a single drawing.

FIREBALL Prize Structure:

Straight FIREBALL:

• 50¢ play: Win $6,000 | Odds: 1 in 20,000
• $1 play: Win $12,000 | Odds: 1 in 20,000

Box FIREBALL:

• 5-Way: 50¢/$1,200, $1/$2,400 | Odds: 1 in 4,000
• 10-Way: 50¢/$600, $1/$1,200 | Odds: 1 in 2,000
• 20-Way: 50¢/$300, $1/$600 | Odds: 1 in 1,000
• 30-Way: 50¢/$200, $1/$400 | Odds: 1 in 666.67
• 60-Way: 50¢/$100, $1/$200 | Odds: 1 in 333.33
• 120-Way: 50¢/$50, $1/$100 | Odds: 1 in 166.67

Straight/Box FIREBALL (combines both payouts - always $1):

• 5-Way: Straight $7,200 or Box $1,200
• 10-Way: Straight $6,600 or Box $600
• 20-Way: Straight $6,300 or Box $300
• 30-Way: Straight $6,200 or Box $200
• 60-Way: Straight $6,100 or Box $100
• 120-Way: Straight $6,050 or Box $50

Example: You play 1-2-3-4-5 Straight with FIREBALL for $2 total ($1 base + $1 FIREBALL). Winning numbers are 1-2-3-4-9, and FIREBALL is 5. The FIREBALL 5 replaces the 9 to create your exact combination 1-2-3-4-5, giving you a FIREBALL Straight win of $12,000, in addition to checking for any base game prize.

Important FIREBALL Note: FIREBALL is an optional add-on that doubles your ticket cost but applies to ALL panels you play. For example, if you play three panels for $3, adding FIREBALL will cost an additional $3, making your total ticket $6. This gives you FIREBALL coverage on all three panels.

Ticket Sales Cutoff: Tickets for each drawing may be purchased up to 12 minutes prior to the applicable drawing:

• Midday: Sales close at 1:18 p.m. ET (drawing at 1:30 p.m. ET)
• Evening: Sales close at 9:33 p.m. ET (drawing at 9:45 p.m. ET)

Prize Payment: All Pick 5 prizes are fixed amounts and are paid as one-time, lump-sum cash payments. Winners should sign the back of their ticket immediately and visit a Florida Lottery retailer or district office to claim prizes. Prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing date.
