How to Play

Basic Game Play: Pick 4 offers life-changing prizes up to $5,000 twice every day. Visit any Florida Lottery retailer and choose one number from 0 through 9 in each of four columns for a total of four digits. Select your wager amount (50 cents or $1), choose your play type (Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Pair, or Combo), and decide whether to play Midday (1:30 p.m. ET), Evening (9:45 p.m. ET), or both drawings. You can play the same numbers for up to 14 consecutive drawings.

Number Selection Methods:

• Manual Selection: Choose your own four-digit combination using a playslip
• Quick Pick: Let the lottery terminal randomly select your numbers
• Advance Play: Play your favorite numbers up to 6 months in advance
• Florida Lottery App: Create digital playslips and scan them at retail locations
• Continuation Tickets: If you win on an advance play ticket, you'll receive a continuation ticket for remaining draws

Complete Play Types and Prize Structures:

1. STRAIGHT Play - Match in Exact Order Your four numbers must match the winning numbers in the exact order drawn.

• 50¢ wager: Win $2,500 | Odds: 1 in 10,000
• $1 wager: Win $5,000 | Odds: 1 in 10,000

Example: You play 1-2-3-4 Straight. Winning numbers must be exactly 1-2-3-4 to win. Any other order is not a winner.

2. BOX Play - Match in Any Order Your four numbers can match the winning numbers in any order. Prize amounts depend on how many ways your numbers can be arranged (4-Way, 6-Way, 12-Way, or 24-Way).

4-Way Box (three digits the same, e.g., 1-1-1-2, 5-5-5-7):

• 50¢ wager: Win $599 | Odds: 1 in 2,500
• $1 wager: Win $1,198 | Odds: 1 in 2,500

6-Way Box (two pairs, e.g., 1-1-2-2, 3-3-7-7):

• 50¢ wager: Win $400 | Odds: 1 in 1,666.67
• $1 wager: Win $800 | Odds: 1 in 1,666.67

12-Way Box (one pair and two different digits, e.g., 1-1-2-3, 4-4-5-6):

• 50¢ wager: Win $200 | Odds: 1 in 833.33
• $1 wager: Win $400 | Odds: 1 in 833.33

24-Way Box (all different digits, e.g., 1-2-3-4, 5-6-7-8):

• 50¢ wager: Win $100 | Odds: 1 in 416.67
• $1 wager: Win $200 | Odds: 1 in 416.67

Example: You play 1-2-3-4 as a 24-Way Box for $1. The winning numbers can be in any of 24 possible orders (1-2-3-4, 4-3-2-1, 2-1-4-3, etc.), and any arrangement wins $200.

3. STRAIGHT/BOX Play - Win Both Ways Combines Straight and Box plays on one ticket. This play type always costs $1 (functions as 50¢ Straight + 50¢ Box).

4-Way Straight/Box:

• If exact order match (Straight): Win $3,099 | Odds: 1 in 10,000
• If any order match (Box): Win $599 | Odds: 1 in 2,500

6-Way Straight/Box:

• If exact order match (Straight): Win $2,900 | Odds: 1 in 10,000
• If any order match (Box): Win $400 | Odds: 1 in 1,666.67

12-Way Straight/Box:

• If exact order match (Straight): Win $2,700 | Odds: 1 in 10,000
• If any order match (Box): Win $200 | Odds: 1 in 833.33

24-Way Straight/Box:

• If exact order match (Straight): Win $2,600 | Odds: 1 in 10,000
• If any order match (Box): Win $100 | Odds: 1 in 416.67

Example: You play 1-2-3-4 as a 24-Way Straight/Box for $1. If winning numbers are exactly 1-2-3-4, you win $2,600. If numbers are in any other order (like 4-2-1-3), you win $100.

4. FRONT PAIR Play - Match First Two Digits Match only the first two numbers in exact order. The last two digits don't matter.

• 50¢ wager: Win $25 | Odds: 1 in 100
• $1 wager: Win $50 | Odds: 1 in 100

Example: You play Front Pair 1-2. If winning numbers are 1-2-5-8, 1-2-0-0, or 1-2-9-3, you WIN.

5. MID PAIR Play - Match Middle Two Digits Match only the second and third numbers in exact order. The first and last digits don't matter.

• 50¢ wager: Win $25 | Odds: 1 in 100
• $1 wager: Win $50 | Odds: 1 in 100

Example: You play Mid Pair 2-3. If winning numbers are 1-2-3-4, 9-2-3-0, or 5-2-3-7, you WIN.

6. BACK PAIR Play - Match Last Two Digits Match only the last two numbers in exact order. The first two digits don't matter.

• 50¢ wager: Win $25 | Odds: 1 in 100
• $1 wager: Win $50 | Odds: 1 in 100

Example: You play Back Pair 3-4. If winning numbers are 1-2-3-4, 9-8-3-4, or 0-0-3-4, you WIN.

7. COMBO Play - All Straight Combinations COMBO automatically plays every possible Straight combination of your four numbers, maximizing your chances of winning the full Straight prize.

4-Way Combo (three same digits):

• $2.00 wager (4 × 50¢): Win $2,500 if any combination hits
• $4.00 wager (4 × $1): Win $5,000 if any combination hits
• Odds: 1 in 2,500

6-Way Combo (two pairs):

• $3.00 wager (6 × 50¢): Win $2,500 if any combination hits
• $6.00 wager (6 × $1): Win $5,000 if any combination hits
• Odds: 1 in 1,666.67

12-Way Combo (one pair, two different):

• $6.00 wager (12 × 50¢): Win $2,500 if any combination hits
• $12.00 wager (12 × $1): Win $5,000 if any combination hits
• Odds: 1 in 833.33

24-Way Combo (all different):

• $12.00 wager (24 × 50¢): Win $2,500 if any combination hits
• $24.00 wager (24 × $1): Win $5,000 if any combination hits
• Odds: 1 in 416.67

Example: You play 1-2-3-4 as a 24-Way Combo for $12. This creates 24 separate 50¢ Straight tickets with every possible arrangement. If any one of those 24 combinations is drawn, you win $2,500.

FIREBALL Add-On - Create Extra Winning Combinations: Add FIREBALL for an additional cost equal to your base play (doubles your ticket price) to gain extra chances to win. After the four Pick 4 numbers are drawn, a FIREBALL number (0-9) is drawn. You can replace any one of the four Pick 4 winning numbers with the FIREBALL number to create more winning combinations. You can win prizes from both the base game AND FIREBALL on the same ticket - essentially giving you two chances to win on every drawing.

Straight FIREBALL:

• 50¢ play: Win $750 | Odds: 1 in 2,500
• $1 play: Win $1,500 | Odds: 1 in 2,500

Box FIREBALL:

• 4-Way: 50¢/$190, $1/$380 | Odds: 1 in 625

Straight/Box FIREBALL (combines both payouts):

• 4-Way: Straight $940 or Box $190
• 6-Way: Straight $875 or Box $125
• 12-Way: Straight $812 or Box $62
• 24-Way: Straight $781 or Box $31

Pair FIREBALL (Front, Mid, or Back):

• 50¢ play: Win $7.50 | Odds: 1 in 25
• $1 play: Win $15 | Odds: 1 in 25

Combo FIREBALL (all combinations covered):

• 4-Way through 24-Way combinations available
• Win amounts match Straight FIREBALL payouts

Example: You play 1-2-3-4 Straight with FIREBALL for $2 total ($1 base + $1 FIREBALL). Winning numbers are 1-2-5-4, and FIREBALL is 3. The FIREBALL 3 replaces the 5 to create 1-2-3-4, giving you a FIREBALL Straight win of $1,500, plus you're checked for any base game prize.
