How to Play

Number Selection: Select five numbers from 0 to 9. You can choose your own numbers or request Quick Pick for random selection. Each position is selected independently.

Play Types (9 Total):

1. Straight ($0.50 or $1.00): Match all five numbers in exact order drawn.

   • $0.50 wager: $25,000 prize | Odds: 1 in 100,000
   • $1.00 wager: $50,000 prize | Odds: 1 in 100,000

2. Box ($0.50 or $1.00): Match all five numbers in any order. Prize depends on number combinations:

   • 5-Way Box (four identical, one unique): $0.50 = $5,000 / $1.00 = $10,000 | Odds: 1 in 20,000
   • 10-Way Box (three identical, one pair): varies | Odds: 1 in 10,000
   • 20-Way Box (three identical, two unique): varies | Odds: 1 in 5,000
   • 30-Way Box (two pairs, one unique): varies | Odds: 1 in 3,333
   • 60-Way Box (one pair, three unique): varies | Odds: 1 in 1,667
   • 120-Way Box (all different): $0.50 = $208.50 / $1.00 = $417 | Odds: 1 in 833

3. Front Four ($0.50 or $1.00): Match the first four digits in exact order.

   • $0.50 wager: $2,500 prize | Odds: 1 in 10,000
   • $1.00 wager: $5,000 prize | Odds: 1 in 10,000

4. Back Four ($0.50 or $1.00): Match the last four digits in exact order.

   • $0.50 wager: $2,500 prize | Odds: 1 in 10,000
   • $1.00 wager: $5,000 prize | Odds: 1 in 10,000

5. Front Three ($0.50 or $1.00): Match the first three digits in exact order.

   • $0.50 wager: $250 prize | Odds: 1 in 1,000
   • $1.00 wager: $500 prize | Odds: 1 in 1,000

6. Back Three ($0.50 or $1.00): Match the last three digits in exact order.

   • $0.50 wager: $250 prize | Odds: 1 in 1,000
   • $1.00 wager: $500 prize | Odds: 1 in 1,000

7. Front Pair ($0.50 or $1.00): Match the first two digits in exact order.

   • $0.50 wager: $25 prize | Odds: 1 in 100
   • $1.00 wager: $50 prize | Odds: 1 in 100

8. Back Pair ($0.50 or $1.00): Match the last two digits in exact order.

   • $0.50 wager: $25 prize | Odds: 1 in 100
   • $1.00 wager: $50 prize | Odds: 1 in 100

9. Back-Up ($1.00 or $2.00): Combines Straight and Box plays. Win both prizes for exact match, or just Box prize for any-order match. Doubles the cost but provides maximum winning potential.

Draw Times: Two daily drawings at 12:29 p.m. (midday) and 7:29 p.m. (evening) Eastern Time. Saturday evening drawing is 7:45-8:00 p.m.

Sales Cutoff: Sales close 4 minutes before each draw.

Multi-Draw: Play your numbers for up to 14 consecutive draws in any combination of midday and evening.

Bet Card: Mark five numbers, select your play type(s), choose wager amount, and indicate which draw time(s). Multiple play types can be selected for the same set of numbers.

Strategy Notes: Pick 5 offers the most play type variety of any Ohio Pick game. Front/Back options allow you to play partial matches for better odds and frequent wins. Straight offers life-changing prizes. Box reduces odds while maintaining substantial payouts.
