How to Play

Pick 4 is played by selecting four digits, each from 0 to 9, and choosing one or more play types that determine how you win. You can select the same digit multiple times (e.g., 1-1-1-1 or 5-5-2-3).

Play Types:

1. Straight: Match all four digits in the exact order drawn.

   • $1 bet pays: $5,000
   • $0.50 bet pays: $2,500
   • $2 bet pays: $10,000
   • $5 bet pays: $25,000
   • Odds: 1 in 10,000

2. Box (24-Way): Match all four digits in any order when all four digits are different (e.g., 1-2-3-4).

   • $1 bet pays: $208
   • $0.50 bet pays: $104
   • $2 bet pays: $416
   • $5 bet pays: $1,040
   • Odds: 1 in 417

3. Box (12-Way): Match all four digits in any order when two digits are the same (e.g., 1-1-2-3).

   • Prize is approximately double the 24-way box prize
   • Odds: 1 in 833

4. Box (6-Way): Match all four digits in any order when there are two pairs (e.g., 1-1-2-2).

   • Prize is approximately 4x the 24-way box prize
   • Odds: 1 in 1,667

5. Box (4-Way): Match all four digits in any order when three digits are the same (e.g., 1-1-1-2).

   • Prize is approximately 6x the 24-way box prize
   • Odds: 1 in 2,500

6. Straight/Box: Combines a Straight bet and Box bet on the same ticket. Win both prizes if numbers match in exact order, or just the Box prize if they match in any order.

   • Straight match on $1 Straight/Box (24-Way): $2,604
   • Box match on $1 Straight/Box (24-Way): $104
   • Odds: 1 in 10,000 (Straight), 1 in 417 (Box 24-way)

7. Front Pair: Match the first two digits in exact order. The last two digits don't matter.

   • $1 bet pays: $50
   • $0.50 bet pays: $25
   • $2 bet pays: $100
   • $5 bet pays: $250
   • Odds: 1 in 100

8. Middle Pair: Match the middle two digits in exact order. The first and last digits don't matter.

   • $1 bet pays: $50
   • Odds: 1 in 100

9. Back Pair: Match the last two digits in exact order. The first two digits don't matter.

   • $1 bet pays: $50
   • $0.50 bet pays: $25
   • $2 bet pays: $100
   • $5 bet pays: $250
   • Odds: 1 in 100

10. Single Digit: Match one specific digit in a specific position (first, second, third, or fourth).

    • Prize and odds vary by position

Bet Amounts: You can wager $0.50, $1.00, $2.00, or $5.00 per play. Prizes scale proportionally with your bet amount.

Number Selection: Mark four digits from 0 to 9 on your play slip in the boxes labeled First Digit, Second Digit, Third Digit, and Fourth Digit. Then select your play type and bet amount.

Quick Pick: Mark the QP box and the lottery terminal will randomly select your four digits.

Multi-Draw: Play the same numbers and play type for up to 42 consecutive drawings by marking the multi-draw option. This allows you to play for up to 3 weeks (42 drawings across midday and evening draws).

Multiple Plays: Each play slip allows multiple plays with different numbers, play types, and bet amounts.

Prize Payments: All Pick 4 prizes are fixed amounts paid as cash. Prizes up to $599 can be claimed at any retailer. Prizes of $600 or more must be claimed at lottery headquarters.
