How to Play

Pick 3 is played by selecting three digits, each from 0 to 9, and choosing one or more play types that determine how you win. You can select the same digit multiple times (e.g., 1-1-1 or 5-5-2).

Play Types:

1. Straight: Match all three digits in the exact order drawn.

   • $1 bet pays: $500
   • $0.50 bet pays: $250
   • $2 bet pays: $1,000
   • $5 bet pays: $2,500
   • Odds: 1 in 1,000

2. Box (6-Way): Match all three digits in any order when all three digits are different (e.g., 1-2-3).

   • $1 bet pays: $84
   • $0.50 bet pays: $42
   • $2 bet pays: $168
   • $5 bet pays: $420
   • Odds: 1 in 167

3. Box (3-Way): Match all three digits in any order when two digits are the same (e.g., 1-1-2).

   • $1 bet pays: Approximately $167
   • Odds: 1 in 333

4. Straight/Box: Combines a Straight bet and Box bet on the same ticket. Win both prizes if numbers match in exact order, or just the Box prize if they match in any order.

   • Straight match on $1 Straight/Box (6-Way): $292
   • Box match on $1 Straight/Box (6-Way): $42
   • Odds: 1 in 1,000 (Straight), 1 in 167 (Box 6-way)

5. Front Pair: Match the first two digits in exact order. The third digit doesn't matter.

   • $1 bet pays: $50
   • $0.50 bet pays: $25
   • $2 bet pays: $100
   • $5 bet pays: $250
   • Odds: 1 in 100

6. Back Pair: Match the last two digits in exact order. The first digit doesn't matter.

   • $1 bet pays: $50
   • $0.50 bet pays: $25
   • $2 bet pays: $100
   • $5 bet pays: $250
   • Odds: 1 in 100

7. Single Digit: Match one specific digit in a specific position (first, second, or third).

   • Prize and odds vary by position

Bet Amounts: You can wager $0.50, $1.00, $2.00, or $5.00 per play. Prizes scale proportionally with your bet amount.

Number Selection: Mark three digits from 0 to 9 on your play slip in the boxes labeled First Digit, Second Digit, and Third Digit. Then select your play type and bet amount.

Quick Pick: Mark the QP box and the lottery terminal will randomly select your three digits.

Multi-Draw: Play the same numbers and play type for up to 42 consecutive drawings by marking the multi-draw option. This allows you to play for up to 3 weeks (42 drawings across midday and evening).

Multiple Plays: Each play slip allows multiple plays with different numbers, play types, and bet amounts.

Prize Payments: All Pick 3 prizes are fixed amounts paid as cash. Prizes up to $599 can be claimed at any retailer. Prizes of $600 or more must be claimed at lottery headquarters.
