How to Play

Gimme 5 is played by selecting 5 different numbers from 1 to 39. Match all 5 numbers to win $100,000, or match 2, 3, or 4 numbers to win smaller fixed prizes.

Number Selection: Mark 5 different numbers from 1 to 39 on your play slip. Each number can only be selected once per play. You must choose exactly 5 numbers for a valid play.

Quick Pick: Mark the Quick Pick (QP) box on your play slip and the lottery terminal will randomly select all 5 numbers for you. Quick Pick is popular and has produced many jackpot winners.

Multi-Draw: Play your numbers for up to 30 consecutive drawings (6 weeks of play) by marking the multi-draw option. This ensures you never miss a weeknight drawing and is perfect for players with favorite numbers.

Multiple Plays: Each play slip contains up to 5 panels, allowing you to play up to 5 different number combinations on a single ticket. Maximum ticket value cannot exceed $100.

Prize Structure: Gimme 5 offers four prize levels plus the top prize of $100,000. All prizes are fixed amounts:

• Match 5 of 5 numbers: $100,000 (splits equally among multiple winners) - Odds: 1 in 575,757
• Match 4 of 5 numbers: $250 - Odds: 1 in 3,387
• Match 3 of 5 numbers: $7 - Odds: 1 in 103
• Match 2 of 5 numbers: $2 - Odds: 1 in 10

Overall Odds: The overall odds of winning any prize are approximately 1 in 8.8 (or more precisely, 1 in 9).

Prize Rule: Only the highest prize won per play will be paid. This means if you match 5 numbers, you win $100,000 only (not $100,000 + $250 + $7 + $2). Each play can win only one prize.

Doubler Option: Gimme 5 offers an optional Doubler feature for an additional cost. When you add the Doubler to your ticket and win a non-jackpot prize (matching 2, 3, or 4 numbers), your prize is automatically doubled:

• Match 4 with Doubler: $500 (instead of $250)
• Match 3 with Doubler: $14 (instead of $7)
• Match 2 with Doubler: $4 (instead of $2)

The Doubler does NOT apply to the $100,000 jackpot - only to the lower prize tiers.

Top Prize Mechanics: The $100,000 top prize is fixed and guaranteed. If multiple players match all 5 numbers in a single drawing, the $100,000 is divided equally among all winners. For example, if 2 people win, each receives $50,000; if 4 people win, each receives $25,000.

Prize Payments: All Gimme 5 prizes are paid as a single lump-sum cash payment. Prizes under $500 can be claimed at any Vermont, New Hampshire, or Maine lottery retailer location. Larger prizes require a claim form and must be claimed at the state lottery office.

Claiming Deadline: All prizes must be claimed within one year (365 days) of the winning draw date. Don't let your winning ticket expire!
