How to Play

Players select 5 numbers from 1 to 45 on each of two panels per $1 play. You can mark your numbers manually on a play slip or request a Quick Pick for randomly generated numbers. Each ticket can have up to 5 separate plays.

Max Cash Add-On: For an additional $1 per play, you can add the Max Cash feature, which gives you a chance to win a second progressive jackpot that grows continuously with every Max Cash purchase. When you match all 5 numbers with Max Cash, you win both jackpots combined.

Multi-Draw Option: Play the same numbers for 2 to 24 consecutive drawings by selecting the multi-draw option on your play slip. This saves you trips to the retailer and ensures you never miss a drawing.

Quick Pick: Let the lottery terminal randomly select your numbers. Quick Pick is available for any or all panels on your ticket.

Jackpot Mechanics: The Montana Cash jackpot starts at a guaranteed $40,000. If no one matches all 5 numbers, the jackpot rolls over and increases by $10,000 for the next drawing. The Max Cash jackpot grows with every Max Cash play purchased statewide, creating a second progressive prize pool. If multiple players win the jackpot, the prize is divided equally among all winning tickets. All prizes are paid as a single cash payment.

Claiming Prizes: Prizes up to $599 can be claimed at any Montana Lottery retailer. Prizes $600 and above must be claimed at Montana Lottery headquarters in Helena or by mail. All prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the draw date.
