How to Play

To play Megabucks Plus, mark five (5) numbers from 1 to 41 in the upper portion of the play panel, and in the lower yellow portion of the panel, mark one (1) Megaball number from 1 to 6. Each Megabucks Plus play costs $2.

Quick Pick (Easy Pick): You can mark the Easy Pick (EP) box on each play to let the computer terminal randomly pick your numbers. You may select Easy Pick for any or all of the five (5) numbers in the upper panel and/or the one (1) Megaball number in the lower panel. This allows you to choose some numbers yourself while letting the computer pick the rest.

Multi-Draw: Players can purchase tickets for multiple consecutive drawings in advance, allowing you to play the same numbers for future draws without having to buy a new ticket each time.

Prize Structure: The game offers nine (9) prize tiers:

• Match 5 + Megaball: Jackpot (starts at $1,000,000, rolls over if not won) - Odds: 1 in 4,496,388
• Match 5: $30,000 - Odds: 1 in 749,398
• Match 4 + Megaball: $1,300 - Odds: 1 in 39,968
• Match 4: $150 - Odds: 1 in 6,661
• Match 3 + Megaball: $20 - Odds: 1 in 1,071
• Match 3: $5 - Odds: 1 in 179
• Match 2 + Megaball: $5 - Odds: 1 in 105
• Match 1 + Megaball: $2 - Odds: 1 in 28
• Match 0 + Megaball: $2 - Odds: 1 in 21

Overall Odds: 1 in 5.9 of winning any prize.

Jackpot Options: Winners may choose between a 30-year annuity or a lump-sum cash payment. This decision must be made within 60 days of filing a claim. If multiple players match all winning numbers, the jackpot is split equally among all winners.

Ticket Validation: All winning tickets must be validated on the Maine State Lottery's gaming system for final winner verification before prizes can be claimed.
