How to Play

Number Selection: Choose four digits from 0 to 9. Each digit can be any number from 0-9, and digits can be repeated (e.g., 0-0-0-0, 1-2-3-4, 5-5-6-7, 8-8-8-8, etc.). You have complete flexibility in creating your four-digit combination.

Play Type Selection: Kentucky Pick 4 offers multiple play types with different winning conditions:

1. Straight (Exact Order): Your four digits must match the winning numbers in exact order.

• Example: You play 1-2-3-4; you win only if drawn numbers are 1-2-3-4 in that exact order
• $0.50 wager wins $2,500
• $1.00 wager wins $5,000
• Odds: 1 in 10,000

2. Box Play Types: Your four digits must match the winning numbers in any order. Box plays are classified into four categories based on your number pattern:

Box - 24-Way (All different digits): All four digits are unique (e.g., 1-2-3-4). There are 24 possible arrangements.

• $1.00 wager wins $200
• Odds: 1 in 417
• Example: Playing 1-2-3-4 wins if drawn numbers are any arrangement like 4-3-2-1, 2-4-1-3, etc.

Box - 12-Way (One pair): Exactly two digits are the same (e.g., 1-1-2-3). There are 12 possible arrangements.

• Odds: 1 in 833
• Example: Playing 1-1-2-3 wins with arrangements like 1-1-3-2, 3-2-1-1, 2-1-1-3, etc.

Box - 6-Way (Two pairs): Two pairs of matching digits (e.g., 1-1-2-2). There are 6 possible arrangements.

• $1.00 wager wins $800
• Odds: 1 in 1,667
• Example: Playing 1-1-2-2 wins with arrangements like 1-2-1-2, 2-1-2-1, 2-2-1-1, etc.

Box - 4-Way (Three identical digits): Three of the four digits are the same (e.g., 1-1-1-2). There are 4 possible arrangements.

• $1.00 wager wins $1,200
• Odds: 1 in 2,500
• Example: Playing 1-1-1-2 wins with arrangements like 1-1-2-1, 1-2-1-1, 2-1-1-1, etc.

3. Straight/Box Combination: Combines a $0.50 Straight bet with a $0.50 Box bet (total $1.00 wager). You win the larger Straight prize if your numbers match in exact order, or the smaller Box prize if they match in any order. Prize amounts vary based on the box type:

• 24-Way: $2,600 (exact) or $100 (any order)
• 12-Way: $2,700 (exact) or $200 (any order)
• 6-Way: $2,900 (exact) or $400 (any order)
• 4-Way: $3,100 (exact) or $600 (any order)

4. 1-OFF Play: Win if your numbers match in exact order OR if one or more of your digits is off by one (one higher or one lower) in the correct position.

• Exact match (all 4 digits): $2,500
• 1 digit off by one: $124
• 2 digits off by one: $24
• 3 digits off by one: $14
• All 4 digits off by one: $32

Example: If you play 5-5-5-5, you can win if drawn numbers are 5-5-5-5 (exact), 4-5-5-5 or 6-5-5-5 (one off), 4-4-5-5 or 6-6-5-5 (two off), etc.

Wager Amounts: You can wager $0.50 or $1.00 per draw. Straight/Box always costs $1.00 (combining $0.50 + $0.50). Prize amounts double when you wager $1.00 instead of $0.50.

Drawing Selection: Choose to enter the Midday drawing, Evening drawing, or both:

• Midday: Approximately 1:20 PM ET (12:20 PM CT)
• Evening: Approximately 11:00 PM ET (10:00 PM CT)

Selecting both drawings doubles your cost.

Multi-Draw Options: Play the same numbers for multiple consecutive drawings at the same draw time. Enter up to 7 draws for the same drawing time (midday or evening). For example, selecting 7 draws with evening time means your numbers enter the next 7 evening drawings.

Quick Pick: Let the lottery computer randomly select four digits for you. You still choose your play type and wager amount.
