How to Play

Colorado Lotto+ offers multiple ways to win with automatic multipliers and an optional Plus drawing. Here's everything you need to know:

Basic Play Instructions:

1. Select 6 numbers from 1 to 40 on your playslip, or mark Quick Pick (QP) to have the lottery terminal randomly generate your numbers
2. Each $2 ticket automatically receives a randomly assigned multiplier (2X, 3X, 4X, or 5X) that multiplies all non-jackpot prizes
3. Optionally add the Plus option for $1 extra to enter a second drawing with the same numbers for a chance at a $250,000 fixed jackpot
4. Choose how many consecutive drawings to enter using Advance Play (up to 26 consecutive draws for base game, up to 39 total drawings or 13 weeks)
5. Players must be at least 18 years old to purchase tickets

Multiplier System: Every Colorado Lotto+ ticket includes a variable multiplier printed on the ticket at the time of purchase. The multiplier distribution is:

• 2X multiplier: 1 in 2 odds (50% of tickets)
• 3X multiplier: 3 in 10 odds (30% of tickets)
• 4X multiplier: 1 in 10 odds (10% of tickets)
• 5X multiplier: 1 in 10 odds (10% of tickets)

The multiplier applies to all prizes EXCEPT the jackpot. For example, if you match 5 numbers (base prize $250) and your ticket has a 5X multiplier, you win $1,250.

Plus Option ($1 Additional): The Plus option provides entry into a second, separate drawing held immediately after the main Colorado Lotto+ drawing. The Plus drawing uses the same set of six numbers you selected for the main game but draws a completely different set of winning numbers. Key features:

• Fixed top prize of $250,000 (not subject to multiplier)
• All other Plus prizes (matching 3-5 numbers) ARE multiplied by your ticket's multiplier
• If 9 or more players win the Plus top prize in a single drawing, the $250,000 is capped at $2 million total payout and split equally among all winners
• Plus prizes range from $4 (3 numbers, no multiplier) to $1,500 (5 numbers with 5X multiplier)

Prize Structure - Main Drawing (Base Amounts Before Multiplier):

• Match 6 of 6: Jackpot (starts at $1,000,000, grows until won) - NOT multiplied. Odds: 1 in 3,838,380
• Match 5 of 6: $250 base ($500 with 2X, $750 with 3X, $1,000 with 4X, $1,250 with 5X). Odds: 1 in 18,816
• Match 4 of 6: $25 base ($50 with 2X, $75 with 3X, $100 with 4X, $125 with 5X). Odds: 1 in 456
• Match 3 of 6: $3 base ($6 with 2X, $9 with 3X, $12 with 4X, $15 with 5X). Odds: 1 in 32

Prize Structure - Plus Drawing (Base Amounts Before Multiplier):

• Match 6 of 6: $250,000 fixed prize - NOT multiplied (capped at $2M total if 9+ winners). Odds: 1 in 3,838,380
• Match 5 of 6: $300 base ($600 with 2X, $900 with 3X, $1,200 with 4X, $1,500 with 5X). Odds: 1 in 18,816
• Match 4 of 6: $30 base ($60 with 2X, $90 with 3X, $120 with 4X, $150 with 5X). Odds: 1 in 456

Jackpot Mechanics: The Colorado Lotto+ jackpot is pari-mutuel, meaning prizes equal 50% of overall sales. The jackpot starts at $1 million and increases with each drawing until someone matches all 6 numbers. If multiple players match all 6 numbers in the same drawing, the jackpot is shared equally among all winners. Winners can choose between an annuity (paid over time) or a lump-sum cash option (approximately 50% of advertised jackpot value).

Additional Features:

• Multi-Draw: Purchase tickets for up to 26 consecutive drawings in advance
• Quick Pick: Let the computer randomly select your numbers
• Same Numbers: Play the same set of numbers for multiple drawings

• Sales close at 7:30 PM MT on drawing nights and resume after the drawing
• Extended blackout windows: Monday-Saturday 12:00 AM - 4:30 AM; Sunday 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM
• Prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing date
• Prizes $599 and under can be claimed at any Colorado Lottery retailer
• Prizes $600 and above must be claimed at a Colorado Lottery claim center or by mail
